With the sudden passing of DeWayne, our main in-classroom instructor, our school will be cutting back on our in-classroom course's schedule for 2022. We know more than anyone that no one can ever be the exact same powerhouse teacher DeWayne was; he was a very special person whose loss was felt by anyone lucky enough to know him. One of our biggest priorities, as a licensed vocational school, has always been to hold a high standard regarding the quality of our courses. Ensuring that classes have an effective instructor is one of the keys to maintaining our higher standard.
Our online freight broker classes continue to be active and we're resuming our in-classroom freight broker training in the ATL area. Our next Atlanta area class will start as scheduled on February 21st.
DeWayne’s business partner and daughter, Crystal, has taken over his role as our in-classroom instructor. Crystal co-founded Freight Movers School with DeWayne and she has over 17 years of transportation logistics experience herself. She worked side-by-side with DeWayne to build our in-classroom course curriculum, she was our Dallas area instructor a few years ago, and she’s responsible for building and maintaining our online course. She also continues to manage the agents and operations of an affiliated brokerage firm.
